Economic Development Task Force

The mission of the Advisory Task Force on Economic Development is to assist and advise the Village Board in the review and implementation of economic development efforts in Plainfield. These efforts include encouraging industrial development, commercial, business, retail, and other supporting services which will provide job opportunities, broaden the tax base, and improve the quality of life in Plainfield. The task force's membership includes business and community leaders and is charged with providing advice to the Village President and Village Board on economic development matters in order to ensure the preservation of the Village's quality of life and economic vitality for the benefit of its residents and businesses.

SCORE

The Plainfield Library and Joliet Junior College host free small business mentoring sessions with the Fox Valley Chapter of SCORE, a national volunteer organization of retired executives who give their time helping business owners and start-ups. Registration is required because of the limited space, visit foxvalley.score.org.
