Residents may dispose of unused or expired medication in its original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box located inside the Police Department Lobby. If an original container is submitted, please remove any identifying information from the prescription label. The service is free and anonymous. The Plainfield Police Department will accept all solid dosage pharmaceutical products. The following items will not be accepted: liquid products, intravenous solutions, injectable items, syringes, or thermometers.
