Village Of Plainfield, IL
Home MenuWastewater Division
The proper collection and treatment of wastewater is essential to help insure the health of our residents and the protection of the environment. The Village operates over 200 miles of sewer main, sixteen (16) wastewater pumping stations, and one 7.5 million gallon treatment facility. The operators of these treatment facilities provide the proper control of several complex biological as well as chemical processes that produce a clean/clear water. Once treated, this clean water is safely discharged to the DuPage River. During this year, the Village will collect and perform laboratory analysis on over 2000 wastewater samples to insure Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) compliance.
