The Human Resources Division is responsible for providing services to our employees that will improve and increase the quality of work life, productivity, and work satisfaction. Responsibilities include recruitment, testing, selection, staff development and training, performance evaluation, labor relations, discipline, management of employee benefit programs, workplace wellness program initiatives, and worker’s compensation and risk management programs.
Employee benefit programs include medical, dental, life, and supplemental insurance programs, IMRF pension and disability programs, unemployment compensation, 457 deferred compensation, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay programs, and wellness programs. Human Resources is also responsible for payroll administration, processing, and compliance with federal and state reporting.
Public Act 101-0504: The Village of Plainfield participates in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) which provides retirement and related benefits to eligible Village employees. Public Act 101-0504, approved by the Illinois General Assembly in 2019, requires IMRF to post certain employer cost and participation information on its website.
